{"id":179,"date":"2022-09-06T20:50:17","date_gmt":"2022-09-06T20:50:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stopdanareserve.com\/?page_id=179"},"modified":"2022-10-08T14:54:35","modified_gmt":"2022-10-08T21:54:35","slug":"air-quality","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/stopdanareserve.com\/index.php\/air-quality\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Quality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">There are several inconsistencies with county policies relating to air quality and GHG emissions:<br>County General Plan Policy AQ 3.3 \u201cAvoid air pollution increases\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-2 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<ul><li>Tier 1 thresholds for Reactive organic gasses and Nitrogen oxides will be exceeded for each quarter from Qtr 1 of 2024 through Qtr 4 of 2030.\u00a0<ul><li><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Additionally in that <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">6 year period<\/span><\/strong>, uncontrolled fugitive dust generated during construction may result in localized pollutant concentrations that could exceed ambient air quality standards and result in increased nuisances to nearby residential land uses, which are homes to families of existing Nipomo residents.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Nipomo Mesa is classi\ufb01ed as severity level lIl for PM10 (particulate matter less than 10 microns in diameter) and PM25 (particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter) in the San Luis Obispo County 2016- 2018 Resource Summary Report.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>With the proposed mitigation measures, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DAILY<\/span> operational ROG (reactive organic gases) and NOx (nitrogen oxide compounds) and PM (particulate matter) will be above APCD thresholds of signi\ufb01cance during construction.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Framework for Planning (Inland), Principle 5, Policy 2 to reduce air pollutants, GHGS and VIMTS:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>With the proposed mitigation measures, the project will increase the generation of air pollutants, GHG (greenhouses gasses) and VMT (vehicle miles travelled)<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Framework for Planning (Inland), Principle 7 to encourage mixed land uses;
